Lighthouse

What is a house if not a home? What makes it not a home? How do these places of sanctuary revive that feeling that is missing? These places connect my divorced parent’s homes. Through the Long Island sound they will forever be one thanks to the water. These places of sanctuary take space as my home as a retreat, to make space for oneself and be present. Through thick and thin I return to these places, they are safety, security, and strong. Families are chaotic and loving just like water. The threat is apparent, yet on land, you cannot see the riptide.
